Mothers Day; How does one create a themed display?

For Mother's Day, I decided that the theming should be light feminine and subtle, as I wanted it to be colourful and exciting, but not too overwhelming. The display of gifts in the photo above were actually the last part of the window I created, but before I get onto that, I thought I'd focus on the clothes.
When I chose what to put in the window, I try to keep everything the same three colours, if not it can look like things are placed there as we didn't know where else to place it. For this window in particular, I focused on pink, green and brown/ beige to match the colour of the season. Pink and green are great colours for spring clothes because the soft florals echo the fresh, uplifting tones of the season, and brown complements this beautifully because its earthy warmth grounds the palette and adds a natural, spring‑ready balance.

These dresses were chosen by me to be the main focus of the window because of their adherence to the colour pallet, and the formality of them. By putting formal dresses in the window, it implies that we take ourselves and Mother's Day seriously as a shop, which already establishes our standard of trading before you have even walked in. I also chose these two because I could see someone wearing them to a Mother's Day family meal, or a smartly dressed meal in spring/ summer.
